What inspired you to get into wedding videography?

I love how the whole day is full of excitement and positivity. Everyone is coming together to celebrate the love of two people.  I shoot other types of events and weddings are always the most fun.

How would you describe your videography style?

At Chris Fig Productions, our style is very candid and unobtrusive. We want to capture all the details of the wedding day with out being disruptive. It’s important to allow the bride, groom, and their guests enjoy the day without being aware of the photographer or videographer.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day to capture?

I really love capturing the first look. It is the time when you can see all the stress that comes with planning a wedding melt away as the couples sees the person they love on their wedding day. It really gives us an opportunity to see how much the bride and groom really love each. Usually both of them cry and can’t wait to get married. Watch highlights from a recent wedding!

Tell me about your most memorable wedding.

My most memorable wedding was in Rhinebeck, New York on the property of the groom’s father who built a gorgeous barn specifically for the wedding. The property was about 20 acres and the ceremony was held on a hill at the highest point of the field. It was absolutely memorable because it was the only wedding that would be held on that piece of land.

What do you enjoy about documenting Central Park Weddings?

Central Park weddings are a joy because most of the time, the bride and groom have flown in from another country and are just so happy to be in New York City let alone get married. Typically, the weather for the weddings is gorgeous and sunny and it’s just a lovely day to be in the park.

What is your favorite Central Park Wedding location and what do you love about it?

My favorite Central Park wedding location is the Cop Cot. I love the immediate juxtaposition between midtown Manhattan the woodsy feel of Central park. And the other reason I love the location is it’s where my wife and I decided to get married in April of 2009.
